Why the separation between discipleship and mission? It's not helpful to make them opposites as one without the other doesn't really make sense (see NT Wright Surprised by Hope on life before- and after- death!)
Hi Roy your right - I think that is the point the writer is trying to make if we do one without the other it won't work as the point of mission is to make disciples
